1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Story Snap mobile application, website, content, customer support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use the Services only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Services if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

3. Limited license

Subject to these Terms, Define Joy LLC grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Services for lawful, non-commercial entertainment purposes. The Services are licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Accounts and security

If account features are available, you must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law. We may require verification or limit access to protect the Services and users.

5. Content and intellectual property

The Services, including audiovisual works, software, designs, graphics, text, trademarks, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to Define Joy LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Content availability may vary by country, device, and time.

You may not copy, record, download except through an authorized feature, redistribute, publicly perform, sell, license, modify, reverse engineer, remove rights notices from, or create derivative works from the Services or content unless applicable law expressly permits it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services unlawfully or infringe another person’s rights;
• bypass access controls, territorial restrictions, security features, advertising delivery, or technical limitations;
• introduce malware, interfere with operation, overload systems, scrape content, or use unauthorized bots or automation;
• attempt to obtain another user’s account or confidential information;
• misrepresent affiliation with Define Joy LLC or use the Services for fraud, harassment, or abuse; or
• use content or service data to train, develop, or improve a competing model, product, or service without written permission.

7. Purchases, subscriptions, and virtual items

If paid features are offered, prices and material terms will be displayed before purchase. Transactions may be processed by Google Play or another platform and are also subject to that platform’s terms, billing rules, cancellation process, and refund policy. Taxes may apply.

Subscriptions, if offered, renew until canceled through the platform where purchased. Virtual currency, credits, or items, if offered, are licensed for use only within the Services, have no cash value unless required by law, and may not be transferred or sold outside authorized features.

8. Advertising and third-party services

The Services may display advertising or link to third-party services. Define Joy LLC does not control third-party content, products, or privacy practices and is not responsible for them. Your dealings with third parties are between you and the relevant third party, subject to mandatory law.

9. Changes, availability, and updates

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or content to operate, secure, or improve the Services, comply with law, or address licensing requirements. We do not guarantee that particular content or features will remain available. You may need to install updates to continue using the Services.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the Services. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Define Joy LLC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Define Joy LLC and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid to Define Joy LLC for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Define Joy LLC and its affiliates from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice reflects Define Joy LLC’s place of organization and the principal place from which the Services are administered and performed.

Unless mandatory law permits you to bring a claim elsewhere, the state and federal courts of competent jurisdiction located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky will have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of mandatory protections or forum rights under the law of your place of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, or business operations. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Services after the revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance, except where law requires express consent.

16. General terms

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction or by operation of law. These Terms, together with incorporated policies and purchase terms, are the entire agreement concerning the Services.
